About us

Viveiro Campesino is a small family-run nursery developed by Fabien and Stéphanie, Belgians, who settled three years ago in the Serra São Mamede Natural Park, at the foot of Marvão.
With experience in horticulture, motivated by the need to regenerate ecosystems and to make a useful contribution to the local community and their adopted country, they now dedicate themselves to multiplying plants and trees to regenerate soils, water cycles and human beings…

Fabien trained as an agricultural engineer. Motivated, curious and versatile, he is always orientated towards finding an effective solution.
He has worked as an organic vegetable grower for the last five years of his life in Belgium, with an emphasis on living soil.
He currently specialises in grafting and balanced pruning of fruit trees, as well as plantation installation work and tree and soil health (bioindication).

Stéphanie trained as a psychologist. She also spent the last seven years of her life in Belgium producing organic vegetables in a way that respects the living.
She currently divides her time between psychological consultations and the nursery, where she focuses more specifically on reforestation plants (Miyawaki) and the medicinal aspects of plants.
