What motivates us…

We believe that planting trees = planting life.
We want to contribute, on our own scale, to the preservation and regeneration of the ecosystems that produces the photosynthesis that is essential for life.

We produce plants, shrubs and trees from seeds or genetic material planted on our 3-hectare plot.

Our land has become a small experimental site where we are gradually testing different techniques:
regenerative agroforestry, syntropic agriculture, Miyawaki tiny-forest…

This allows us to get to know native plants and trees better in situ, but also to observe the adaptation of interesting non-native trees and fruit trees in a context that we describe as extreme because here in the Marvão region, we combine poor, draining sandy soils, potential flooding in winter and temperatures that can vary between -4 °C and 43 °C.

For the production of potted plants, we adapt our pots to allow the best development possible of the plants’ roots, in order to guarantee better rooting when planting in a permanent location. We use certified organic substrate, mixed with the soil from the land. We also try to limit waste by recycling the pots whenever possible. We use shade sails, which help limit evaporation and therefore reduce the need for water.

We want to facilitate the creation of small resilient ecosystems on your land and we are here to offer you healthy trees adapted to the Portuguese context, as well as the advice that will enable these ecosystems to thrive.
